Build your own Chicken House

So,OK, you want to build your own chicken house, but you are having second thoughts because you think that it will take too long and the project will end up hanging a round for a fair old time or not get finished at all.

Now, with the right techniques and a few tips “ not getting the job done “ need not be the case; in fact it can all be done and dusted in a few days…you just need guidance.

There are a few things that must be done correctly for you to be able to bulid your chicken house.

First off, you must have the lay out of the inside of the chicken house before anything. Nothing worse then building the shape of the chicken house and then finding out that you cannot fit everything in!

What can happen if you do not do the above first is that you do not get enough “free space”…that is space for the chickens to “be” in because the area in the chicken house is full up with nest boxes, feeders and so on. Bit like having a bedroom room with only room for the bed!

So,as has been said; you must draw a blueprint first and then continue from there.

The next thing that you must remember to do is to make sure that the chickens have enough light…this is just a question of having windows to light the sunshine in. As regaurds this, make certain that the windows are not too low and that the windows are sighted in such a way as to catch the sun; meaning know where the sun riases and sets!

So be sure you’re following these three tips as you build a chicken house. The procedure may seem quite involved but with the help of a building plan that will give you a step by step guide it does become something that is quite easy to handle over the weekend.
